Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty on considering running for the senate seat held by Bob Mellow.
Scranton Mayor Chris Doherty, who is running for governor in the state of Pennsylvania, told Corbett on WILK Wednesday that he is considering dropping that bid and running for the state Senate seat held by Bob Mellow. Mellow announced yesterday that he is stepping down after 40 years in the seat. Doherty told Corbett that he would talk about it with his family and have an announcement next week.
